1. What brought you to CPQi?

I was approached by CPQi´s former Recruitment Lead, Daniela Correia to work as a recruiter for roles within Latin America as well as North America. Interacting with a cross-cultural team was something that really appealed to me when learning about role and the company.

2. How have CPQi supported you through your professional journey?

Well I believe that a great example of that is my transition to the marketing team. I actually always wanted to work within marketing but felt that I was too old to change fields and wouldn’t be granted the opportunity.

If it were not the encouragement of the leadership team I would have not taken on this new challenge and would always dwell on the “What if”.

3. What project are you particularly proud of working on during your time with CPQi?

Well, when I was working in the recruitment team there were various projects that were challenging and that I felt proud of when closing, but one in particular was my first hire. It was a role for a large French multinational investment bank that at the time were not our clients but had assigned us to fill a position that if filled we would be granted other opportunities.

I found a perfect candidate that still works within CPQi to this day, and his process was challenging from the get go. In my first call with this candidate and based on what I spoke to our clients I knew he was the one.

The first challenge I encountered was that clients were often rejecting resumes I was sending over. With some thought, I realised that the value of a quick conversation was astronomical as opposed to just sending over a piece of paper. I managed to increase my conversion rates massively by picking up the phone.

Once face to face with the client from then constant conversations and prep sessions with our candidate led this candidate to be chosen after all.

4. Could you tell us about a time someone made you feel special at CPQi

My previous direct line manager Daniela made me feel very special. At a time where the company was going through a couple of changes and I was also going through some personal issues I felt very insecure. She offered me a promotion and it was not the promotion per se that made me feel special, but more the value she saw in my work that at the time I couldn´t see for myself.

5. Have you made friends who will last forever at CPQi?

Definitely, I have made so many amazing friends and am blessed to have had the opportunity to work with as well as learn from them.

6. Why did you choose to work at CPQi?

At first, the idea of working in fintech especially within the capital markets space that focused in digital transformation appealed very much to me. The exposure I would have to people working within this business and what I would learn intrigued me and was my initial motivator.

But the main component was that I could relate to the company values as well as my team.

7. What ambitions do you have for your future at CPQi?

To thrive with the company and possibly make my way to a leadership role.
