CPQi Canada is seeking for a Murex L3 technical support responsible for Business as Usual (BAU) support.

The incumbent will be facilitating L3 support for a CPQi Client and expected to work well with the client as an extension of CPQi.  The incumbent must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting aggressive target dates and deliverables.


  • Day to day development of the Murex platform and related environment
  • Ownership/accountability for the triaging and investigation of user requirements/problems and develop technological resolutions.
  • Work with the business to identify needs and translate these into design specifications, development, maintenance, and testing programs.
  • Support systems by providing fail and fix application support.
  • Develop/Configure the processing script/report/batch of feeders if required as part of batch support.
  • Setup new environments, refresh environments and take regular backups.
  • Ability to manage multiple environments.
  • Infra maintenance – onsite support, pre and post activity, verification
  • Configuration/Release management and related responsibilities such as:

o   Understanding and debugging various shell scripts on production/QA/development servers.

o   Providing support for various production servers such as memory capacity, system slowness, and file system related issues.

o   Design and develop shell scripts if required.

o   Overseeing file processing, process control and monitoring and handle any related issues to ensure all systems are functional.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 5-8 years of experience delivering sizeable projects.



  • Ability to work in a fast-paced ambiguous environment.
  • Self starter with minimal day to day hand holding.
  • Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities, as necessary.
  • Strong attention to detail


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Advanced Murex development skills in Murex FO Configuration – Rates, pricing models and simulation.
  • Technical MxML Exchange workflow skills including integration, post trade and confirmations.
  • Murex Post Trade Back Office technical processing experience.
  • In depth product knowledge across FX Cash, FX Options and Commodities.
  • Strong development and support experience in the FX product space.
  • Murex accounting experience highly regarded.
  • Proficient working in a Unix/Linux based environment.
  • Solid scripting knowledge.
  • Advanced skills in one or more of the major programming languages ideally Java, dotNet or C++.
  • Full SDLC, self-starter, attention to detail, ability to analyse, design, develop and test.
