Brief Description/Role: CPQi is a Fintech consulting firm with cutting edge technology searching for an exceptional software quality tester who can learn with agility to create, standardize, and maintain test automation scripts.

The incumbent should be generally versed in Power BI data to then shape the testing scope and desired outcomes.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Build and identify test strategies and scripts by leveraging applicable tools with related technologies and languages.
  • Apply and document defect management processes and outcomes.
  • Stakeholder and Business management to understand requirements to then build into the testing strategies.
  • Review current NAIC regulatory reporting versus the “to be” reporting and embed required information into testing and defect management.
  • Manual test execution for non automated data
  • Participate in code reviews and communicate techniques with associated team members.

Tasks and Qualifications

  • Possess sound knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience with testing frameworks and tools such as:
    • VB script
    • Selenium
    • DevTest
    • Test NF.
    • Confluence – an asset
    • Jira
  • Sound knowledge with Object Oriented Programing languages such as:
    • Python
    • Java, JavaScript.net
    • React
    • Sequel

 

Education/Experience:

  • University degree in computer sciences and engineering or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience in test automation, coding, and development
  • Experience with financial reporting
  • Software testing certification
  • Agile certification
  • Experience writing complex test plans and test cases with a risk minded approach.

 

Working Conditions:

Ability to work with large teams remotely through a fast past and ambiguous environment
